Purulent Labyrinthitis, Tinnitus and Homeopathy
Purulent Labyrinthitis, Tinnitus and Homeopathy
Labyrinthitis involves inflammation and swelling of the inner ear, often as a result of a respiratory tract infection.
Other possible causes may be prescription drugs which are listed as ototoxic, these include over 200 medications, some cause temporary hearing loss, and balance problems, such as asprin, quinine, and loop diuretics .Ototoxic medications known to cause permanent damage include certain aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as gentamicin , and cancer chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin and carboplatin. Other possible causes may be allergies, or a cholesteatoma.
Purulent Labyrinthitis, Tinnitus and Homeopathy
During acute otitis media, the bacterium may gain access to the middle ear, or in a case of purulent meningitis the same may occur. Purulent labyrinthitis may be followed by meningitis. The medical treatment of purulent labyrinthitis may include labyrinthectomy to drain the inner ear, radical mastoidectomy, and to top this off IV antibiotic therapy to avoid meningitis.
The symptoms of labyrinthitis may include: dizziness, inability to focus the eyes, hearing loss in one ear, loss of balance, nausea and vomiting, and tinnitus.
Purulent Labyrinthitis, Tinnitus and Homeopathy
Labyrinthitis may be short lived, a matter of weeks, or persist for months, or in some cases for years, particularly in elderly people.
The symptoms need to be investigated thoroughly.
Severe ear infections can be avoided if prompt treatment with holistic medicine is instigated. The susceptibility to ear infections, needs to be treated after the infection has been resolved. This can only be done with homeopathic medicine, while herbs can assist in the drainage of the infection, homeopathy will treat the person holistically.
When a person's ear infection reaches the stage of purulent labryinthits, the treatment needs to be monitored medically to be able to ensure the homeopathic treatment is successfull. Ideally if the homeopathic practitioner is a medical doctor, then the case can be monitored safely.
When neurologic signs are present, such as nystagmus and vertigo it is important to eliminate other possible causes of the neurologic signs, before assuming it to be related to an ear infection.
Ideally if a person follows a healthy diet and is treated with homeopathy, then it's very unlikely that the person would ever get to the stage of purulent labyrinthitis. Even though an attack of influenza may hit on an otherwise healthy person, because their immune system has not been subjected to a barrage of antibiotics, they return to health quickly. That is not to say that alternative medical practitioners have any sort of a claim to immortality:)
I highly recommend Tinnitus Miracle, which if the methods Thomas Coleman suggests were followed, we would enjoy better health, and never become susceptible to ear infections and their sequelae . Visit Tinnitus Miracle and read what others are saying about their experiences with Tinnitus Miracle .
